Deco Shell Ashtray

A vintage brass scallop shell ashtray/ trinket dish. Often referred to as "deco shell ashtrays", were popular in the mid-20th century & are appreciated for their decorative design & functionality. Has signs of wear, though it looks as though most of the tarnish/ patina would polish off.
